Over the weekend as I was about to enjoy a luxurious at home herbal
facial steam, I decided to take a photo of the the facial steam bowl
itself. I think sometimes, people shy away from doing certain things
because they feel that the process is too complicated. As you can see
it could not be simpler.
All I did was:
- Bring some water to boil on the stove.
- Carefully poured it into my steam bowl.
- Added a pinch of each of the herbs that I selected to the steam bowl.
- Covered the steam bowl with a plate to steep the herbs for five minutes.
- Pulled my hair back and gently cleansed my face with this.
- Removed the plate from the steam bowl.
- Sat in a chair at the kitchen table (where I prepared the steam bowl).
- Used a towel to sort of tent overhead.
- Gently moved my face back and forth over the steam bowl for about eight-ten minutes.
- That's it!
The combination of Herbs that I selected were thyme leaf, lavender flower, peppermint leaf, chamomile, white willow bark, comfrey leaf. This blend tends to hydration, wrinkles, under eye puffiness or baggy eyes, helps to reduce pore size, as well as purifies and tones, rejuvenates, relaxes, stimulates, soothes and so much more.
Herbal facial steaming loosens debris, softens skin and unclogs pores, releasing toxins and impurities. Steaming hydrates by adding moisture, increases circulation and relieves tension. Your skin will look more vibrant and alive, naturally.
An hour before I went to bed that night, I put this all over my face and neck.
