Stop The Seal Hunt, Ladies Blend is promoting this campaign on our website and thought this would be an appropriate time to introduce it to our blog readers. It is truly hard to think about, almost impossible to process the thought of and not an easy website to read or even look at without feeling like your heart has been crushed. What's even harder is doing nothing at all. Their ad campaign has been bold and in your face, gained a lot of attention and educated many. Stop The Seal Hunt can use a bit of help from all of us, whether it be signing the pledge and/or making a donation, trust that whatever you can do will mean a whole lot.
We are also promoting the Animal Rights 2007 Conference in L.A., July 19-23. It is a forum for sharing knowledge, reporting on progress, discussing strategies, tactics and networking. They have a wide variety of speakers, programs, exhibits, cruelty free shopping and much more. For information, please visit their website.
Ladies Blend happily signed on this week to support SeedTree.org. Their aim is to preserve and renew forest ecosystems by developing a sustainable human ecology. By sending our empty printer ink cartridges to Empties4Cash, SeedTree will receive up to $4.00 for each cartridge. Empties4Cash is a great recycling trash for cash program, they provide pre-paid labels and postage, free FedEx ground pick-up if needed or simply put them in your mailbox. It's easy to do, it's free, you or your support partner get some green, it's the green thing to do! Call them at 1.800.456.4320 or visit their website.
There are many things happening this weekend, all over and in every community, in celebration of Earth Day. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you a weekend filled with warmth and kindness. I think I'll be doing some much needed quiet gardening and planting right here in my own yard, one of my favorite things to do.
